Great Article about PHP5.4 and optimizations. I wish there was a weekly "Pro Tips" section with tricks the pros use and maybe even a short series focusing on the entire WebDev Stack using current best practices. Like Stack Exchange, but with an orchestrator.

Just knowing I can speed up JIT compilation by adding it type declarations will come in handy already.

We already cover many news and details of PHP implementation in the Lately in PHP podcast. It is not weekly, but it is monthly. You can either watch the video on YouTube, download and listen to the audio, or just read the transcript.
